Mio Introduces Car Navigator With 7-inch Touchscreen

Mio’s just-announced C728 navigation device comes with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, which sounds just about right for watching videos, checking out images or selecting audio tracks (formats not specified). It uses a SiRF Star III GPS chip with optional TMC, and allows a split-screen display.

A 400Mhz Samsung 2443 processor does the dirty work, with 2GB of memory and 64MB of RAM built-in. The OS of choice is Windows CE.net 5.0. Bluetooth capability, AV input, an SD/MMC slot, a USB 2.0 port (standard and mini sizes accepted) and stereo speakers are likewise included. Measurements are 182×23x123mm, and weight is 380g.
